Overall Responsibility
To provide evidence-based physiotherapy services aimed at improving, restoring, and maintaining physical function and mobility in patients, while promoting overall wellness and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess patients to diagnose physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
Administer physical therapy interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy, and functional training.
Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Educate patients and their families on managing conditions and preventing further injuries.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with professional standards.
Prepare and submit periodic reports on patient outcomes, workload, and departmental activities.
Ensure physiotherapy equipment is well-maintained and used appropriately.
Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate department.
Adhere to professional and ethical standards in patient care.
Participate in clinical audits, continuous medical education, and quality improvement initiatives.
Refer patients to other specialists when necessary.
Participate in wellness programs and community outreach activities to promote physical health and injury prevention.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
Valid license from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Excellent clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
