Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Manager to lead outbound growth initiatives across the EMEA region. The SDM will be responsible for driving sales pipeline growth at the initial stage of the sales funnel by managing team performance and ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality opportunities to the Sales team, in alignment with agreed KPIs.
The SDM will collaborate closely with regional sales leads to define and execute territory-specific campaigns. The role also requires ongoing coordination with the Marketing team to refine and implement effective sales outreach activities. In addition, the SDM will be responsible for recruiting, coaching, and performance management of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), ensuring their success in generating qualified leads and contributing to the company's overall revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive lead generation strategy for the EMEA region by collaborating with Marketing and Sales teams.
- Utilize a data-driven and collaborative approach to create and track accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts, ensuring consistent alignment with business goals and performance targets.
- Plan and execute top-of-funnel campaigns throughout the sales calendar, aligning with current marketing initiatives, educational trends, and regional sales priorities to maximize outreach and engagement.
- Refine and optimize sales pitch and calling workflows based on agreed-upon campaign strategies, providing hands-on guidance by demonstrating best practices to new hires through shadowing and accompanied calls.
- Work closely with the Sales Director to recruit, onboard, and manage a motivated, high-performing team of SDRs in the EMEA region.
- Coordinate with SDR reports, providing ongoing monitoring, support, and performance management.
- Partner with colleagues to integrate best sales practices, conducting annual competency framework assessments to identify skill gaps. Lead efforts to build a consistent, consultative sales approach across the team.
- Drive remote outbound sales efforts to educational institutions, including universities and schools.
- Develop and execute consultative and solutions-based sales strategies.
- Maintain a strong focus on sales performance, setting clear targets and ensuring the team achieves them.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth lead handoff and customer satisfaction.
- Report on sales performance and provide insights to senior management.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in remote outbound sales.
- Proven experience in educational sales (to universities, schools).
- Strong experience in consultative/solutions-based selling.
- Experience managing a small sales team.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
