Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the pricing strategy for micro-insurance products to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Work with the Business Development team to provide accurate pricing guidance and insights.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark our pricing against industry standards.
  • Analyze market trends, claims data, and risk factors to inform pricing strategies.
  • Refine insurance product pricing models using actuarial and statistical methods working closely with the actuarial team.
  • Drive the design and development of new insurance products based on market demand while meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor the performance of existing products and recommend adjustments to pricing or product features and benefits
  • Work closely with actuarial, finance, and compliance teams to align pricing strategies with company objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings to inform underwriting strategies and product development.
  • Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with the regulator, and other industry partners to negotiate terms, and enhance our value proposition.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. Professional qualifications in these fields are a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance pricing, product design, and/or underwriting. 8+ years in the Insurance industry,
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or statistical software.
  • Familiarity with insurance pricing models and actuarial principles.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex datasets to support business decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory considerations related to insurance pricing is a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative; demonstrate self-motivation and energy, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work as a team member with people across geographies and cultures.
