As Revenue Manager at Angama, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our pricing and revenue strategies keep us competitive while continuing to deliver strong top-line performance. Your focus will be on analyzing booking trends, optimizing inventory, and working closely with teams across sales, marketing, and operations to ensure every revenue opportunity is maximized. This role reports to the Executive Committee (ExCo)
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage pricing strategies to optimize RevPAR.
- Implement yield management techniques to realize high achieved rates in Peak Seasons and maximize occupancy in Low Seasons.
- Ensure competitive and aligned pricing across all sales channels (direct bookings & trade partners).
- Oversee all distribution channels to maximize revenue performance.
- Strategically price group bookings and long-term stays for profitability.
- Lead 30-day, 90-day, and annual revenue forecasting using booking trends and historical data.
- Monitor and adjust inventory across platforms to ensure maximum availability at the best rates.
- Track and analyze key revenue metrics (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy).
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports to guide revenue strategy.
- Support annual budget preparation by forecasting room revenue and occupancy levels.
- Leverage revenue management tools, PMS, and data analytics to optimize pricing and availability.
- Ensure accurate invoicing and receivables management in alignment with finance.
- Assess the impact of promotions and rate changes, providing insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to align revenue strategies with campaigns and special offers.
- Provide insights to drive demand during low-occupancy periods.
- Conduct market analysis to track trends, demand shifts, and competitor pricing.
- Stay updated on emerging travel patterns and technology to enhance revenue strategy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with third-party partners and suppliers, optimizing commission rates and visibility.
- Lead regular revenue strategy meetings with key stakeholders.
- Strengthening commercial awareness across teams, particularly in sales and finance.

Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business, or Marketing (Certification in Revenue Management is a plus).
- 3-5 years of experience in revenue management within hospitality or travel.
- Strong skills in pricing, forecasting, and distribution strategies.
- Proficient in revenue management software, PMS, Excel, and data analytics (Expereince with TourPlan an advantage)
- Trade-experienced and well-connected within the East African luxury travel market.
