Our client is a credit-only microfinance company looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager This position is responsible for planning, execution and coordination of business development strategy while coordinating recruitment of staff/sales associates to achieve regional sales targets and staffing needs.
Responsibilities.
- Implement effective sales strategies and lead sales personnel (Branch Managers, Team leaders, and sales associates) towards attainment of their sales targets
- Build and grow on existing customer base, expand growth in new markets, products and services
- Establishing and maintain a system that fosters a culture of teamwork, employee empowerment and commitment to the organization’s goals. Ensure teams are trained and mentored
- Manage the attrition rate of the reps though proper and coordinated training to ensure that the desired targets of active associates are achieved per branch
- Build and grow on existing customer base, expand growth in new markets, products and services
- Maintaining positive business relationships for business continuity
- Ensure strict adherence to credit, collection and compliance policy
- Review, approve and ensure execution of marketing route plans
- Carry out regular Branch visits to ensure proper operations and compliance to set Company guidelines and performance of sales personnel as per the assigned targets
- Ensure the safekeeping of region assets including structures, equipment, inventory and also oversee efficient utilization of allocated budget and compliance
- Leading by example, ensure adherence to integrity and high ethical standards by all staff in the Region
- Provide leadership and guidance to the regional team through effective planning, communication, training, mentoring and coaching
- Ensure early bird sessions are conducted in all Branches, and foster succession planning through employee empowerment and ensure high employee energy levels
- Continuous training mentoring and coaching of sales team in the region
- Ensure that Loan rejection rate is below 10% on a monthly basis through continuous review of rejection reports to mitigate repeat /re occurrence of the same
- Ensure continuous implementation of QMS for effective and efficient service delivery
Qualifications;
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or a business-related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 6 years’ relevant work experience, 3 of which must be in a managerial position.
- Good judgment and decision-making capacity.
- Ability to gather market Intelligence skills
