The aircraft can carry hundreds of kilograms over long distances and takes off and lands vertically, allowing it to operate near warehouses or distribution centres.
Using a hybrid propulsion system, it recharges its batteries mid-flight, eliminating downtime.
LODD has signed agreements to produce over 200 aircraft for major operators, including Emirates and Etihad Cargo. Experimental operations are expected this year, with full certification targeted later.
