Position: Senior Mobile Application Developer (iOS & Android)

Tawakal Group is building an in-house remittance and payments platform and is looking for a Senior Mobile Application Developer to take ownership of its consumer mobile applications across iOS and Android.
Key Responsibilities
โ Build and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, with Swift/Kotlin native modules where required.
โ Integrate mobile apps securely with .NET backend APIs, including authentication, transaction flows, KYC capture, and verification.
โ Implement mobile security measures including secure storage, certificate pinning, biometrics, and jailbreak/root detection.
โ Manage App Store and Google Play releases from build and signing through submission and compliance.
โ Maintain mobile CI/CD pipelines, crash reporting, and performance monitoring.
โ Stabilise existing vendor-developed codebases through code review, refactoring, and technical-debt reduction.
โ Work with QA on automated and device testing and mentor junior developers.
Required Experience
โ 6+ years of mobile development experience, including at least 3 years of production React Native experience.
โ Strong native iOS experience with Swift and Xcode and Android experience with Kotlin and Android Studio.
โ Proven experience shipping and maintaining apps on both major app stores.
โ Strong TypeScript and state-management skills, such as Redux or Zustand.
โ Experience integrating REST APIs.
โ Understanding of mobile security and OWASP MASVS.
โ Experience with mobile CI/CD tools such as Fastlane, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Nice to Have
โ Fintech, payments, or remittance experience.
โ Knowledge of KYC/AML flows and e-wallets.
โ Experience with offline-first design, push notifications, or deep linking.
โ Experience with Expo or React Nativeโs New Architecture.
