Position: Head of Research
๐ Preferred Locations: Kenya, Nigeria, Germany, or India. Other locations will be considered.
EIDU is looking for an experienced research leader to join its Impact Team and help improve foundational literacy and numeracy outcomes for children.
The successful candidate will lead research initiatives and impact evaluations that inform the development, improvement, and expansion of EIDUโs education programmes.
Key Responsibilities
โ Lead the design and implementation of high-quality research studies and impact evaluations.
โ Develop research protocols and methodologies suited to diverse cultural and regional contexts.
โ Oversee research publications, policy briefs, and technical presentations for policymakers, donors, practitioners, and academic audiences.
โ Evaluate the impact of education interventions on childrenโs literacy, numeracy, and transition outcomes.
Requirements
โ A PhD or advanced degree in Social Sciences, Data Science, Education, or a related field.
โ At least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
โ Proven experience developing and managing a portfolio of applied research projects. Experience securing research funding is an added advantage.
โ Strong statistical skills and the ability to interpret research findings using appropriate quantitative methods.
โ Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences in multicultural environments.
