TikTok is now letting users control how much AI content they see in their feeds. This new feature comes as part of the “Manage topics” section, where users can adjust preferences for different content areas like dance, news, or fitness. With the AI slider, viewers can choose to see more or less AI-generated videos, helping tailor their experience on the platform.
The AI control is designed to give users more power over their feed. Users can move the slider to two levels either way, requesting more AI material or reducing it significantly. This change addresses concerns about excessive AI content and ensures TikTok’s recommendations reflect personal preferences.
For the slider to work, TikTok needs to identify AI-generated content accurately. To achieve this, the platform will embed invisible watermarks in videos created with its own tools, like AI Editor Pro, or those uploaded with C2PA Content Credentials. This approach helps maintain authenticity and prevents users from unintentionally viewing AI content without knowing.
With AI content growing on TikTok, having control over its visibility empowers users to enjoy a more personalized experience. Whether you want to explore creative AI videos or limit them entirely, the AI slider ensures your feed aligns with your interests. It’s part of TikTok’s broader effort to make content consumption transparent, manageable, and user-focused.
