The announcement came as part of Notion 3.0, available to all users starting this week. The company describes the AI Agents as “teammates and super users” that can handle nearly everything a human can do inside Notion.
Until now, users had to build pages, databases, and systems manually. With Notion’s AI Agents, those tasks can now be automated. Agents can:
Create and organize databases and project pages.
Search across Slack, the web, and other connected tools.
Work autonomously for up to 20 minutes at a time.
Handle tasks across hundreds of pages simultaneously.
This means less manual work and more time for strategic thinking.
What makes Notion’s new AI Agents stand out is their ability to “remember” your preferred way of working. Agents can store memories of your filing habits, references, and workflows. Users can also edit and personalize these profiles to suit different roles or projects.
Over time, Notion plans to roll out fully automated, deeply customizable AI Agents, making them even more capable of acting like true digital coworkers.
Notion is already showcasing how its AI Agents can transform work. Some examples include:
Drafting and editing email campaigns.
Turning meeting notes into client-ready proposals.
Collecting and analyzing feedback from multiple platforms into one report.

Cofounder Akshay Kothari teased the launch with demo videos in August and September, showing agents planning projects and executing tasks with minimal input. Now, those demos are reality.
