Lockin V7 Max Brings Vein-Scanning and Wireless Charging to Your Door
Smart locks are convenient, but running out of battery at the wrong time can ruin the experience. Lockin’s new V7 Max tackles this problem head-on with wireless optical charging, allowing homeowners to forget about ever manually recharging the lock. The company says the lock can receive rapid, eye-safe power delivery from up to four meters away—promising uninterrupted security and convenience.
How Wireless Optical Charging Works
The V7 Max is powered by a lithium battery charged via a transmitter called AuraCharge, which plugs into any standard outlet inside the home. The AuraCharge can be wall-mounted or placed on a surface near the lock. Even if the transmitter stops working, Lockin says the lock will continue operating for several hours, offering reliability beyond standard smart locks, which typically rely on months-long battery life.
Sleek Design by Apple’s Former Chief Designer
Apple alum Hartmut Esslinger shaped the V7 Max into a stylish, curved door handle rather than the usual square, keypad-style lock. It offers three biometric unlocking methods—finger vein, palm vein, and 3D facial recognition—making security both advanced and personalized. This design ensures the lock is visually appealing while providing cutting-edge protection.
Integrated Video Doorbell and Smart Home Compatibility
Lockin’s V7 Max comes with a built-in video doorbell and dual five-inch touchscreens, one on the inside and one outside. It also supports the Matter protocol, meaning it integrates seamlessly with Google, Apple, Amazon, and Samsung smart home systems. Homeowners can control access, receive notifications, and interact with the lock using familiar smart home platforms.
AI-Powered Home Monitoring
The V7 Max uses two outer cameras and LockinAI, an AI system designed to enhance home safety. According to the company, LockinAI can recognize and log deliveries, monitor children or elderly family members, and even create highlight reels of family events. While some features may require inward-facing cameras, Lockin promises advanced AI-powered convenience for busy households.
Future-Proof Features and Security
Alongside wireless charging and AI monitoring, the V7 Max includes enhanced encryption and secure communication protocols to ensure privacy. Its biometric options reduce the risk of unauthorized entry, while integration with multiple smart home ecosystems makes it a versatile upgrade for any modern home.
What Makes Lockin V7 Max Stand Out
With wireless charging, advanced biometrics, a video doorbell, and AI monitoring, the V7 Max positions itself as more than just a smart lock. Its sleek, ergonomic design and compatibility with major smart home systems make it a top contender for anyone looking to modernize home security.
