The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), a State Corporation under the Ministry of Roads and Transport was established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007 and charged with the mandate to manage, develop, rehabilitate, and maintain national trunk roads.


To carry out this mandate effectively, the Authority wishes to fill the following vacant position with creative and proactive Kenyan citizens with the ability to quickly adapt to a dynamic work environment

 

Assistant Office Administrator II

Responsible for administrative and secretarial services, smooth operation of office activities and
serves as the point of linkage between the Authority and stakeholders.
Job Description
(i) Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
(ii) Typing routine correspondences;
(iii) Managing correspondence (e-mails and letters);
(iv) Handling telephone calls and customers;
(v) Scheduling and facilitating meetings;
(vi) Operating office equipment and security of office equipment, documents and records;
(vii) Making arrangements for departmental travel;
(viii) Attending to visitors and clients;
(ix) Handling appointments; and
(x) Handle office Petty Cash.

Driver I

The purpose of this job is driving Authority’s vehicles carry out checks on the vehicles cooling
oil, electrical and brake systems, tyre pressure and other related routine checks.
Job Description
(i) Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
(ii) Driving the vehicle as authorized;
(iii) Ensuring security and safety of the vehicle, passengers and goods on and off the road;
(iv) Maintaining daily work ticket(s);
(v) Carrying out routine checks on the vehicle’s cooling, oil, electrical and brake systems and
tyre pressure;
(vi) Detecting and reporting vehicle defects on time;
(vii) Ensuring vehicle cleanliness;
(viii) Timely reporting of accidents and follow up of police abstract; and
(ix) Vehicle inspection and keeping up-to-date insurance documents.

 
 

Prospective candidates MUST satisfy the requirements of Leadership and Integrity set out in Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya and shall be required to present the following documents during the interview.

  • Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission Clearance Certificate
  • Kenya Revenue Authority Tax Compliance Certificate
  • Higher Education Loans Board Clearance Certificate or proof of ongoing repayments
  • Certificate of Good Conduct issued by National Police Service
  • Certificate of Clearance from the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
    The above documents will not be required at the point of application.
