GitHub is stepping up its AI game with the launch of Agent HQ, a central hub for multiple AI coding agents. Developers can soon access not just GitHub Copilot but also OpenAI’s Codex, Anthropic’s Claude, Google’s Jules, and other AI coding tools—all in one place. This move aims to simplify coding workflows, giving programmers more control and flexibility over AI-assisted development.
GitHub’s new hub acts as a “mission control” for AI coding. With it, developers can manage, monitor, and use different AI agents seamlessly within the GitHub platform. Instead of switching between separate tools, users will have a single interface for testing and integrating multiple AI coding assistants.
The hub allows developers to compare AI outputs, track performance, and manage tasks efficiently. Subscribers to GitHub Copilot can experiment with different coding agents to find the best fit for their projects. This centralization reduces friction and speeds up coding, making AI-powered development more intuitive.
GitHub’s hub will support Copilot, OpenAI Codex, Anthropic Claude, Google Jules, xAI, and Cognition’s Devin. This selection allows developers to explore diverse AI approaches, from code generation to task automation, all inside GitHub without juggling multiple platforms.
GitHub plans to roll out Agent HQ in the coming months. Developers with an active Copilot subscription will be among the first to try the platform, with GitHub promising updates that enhance control, performance tracking, and integration capabilities over time.
