The Social Health Authority (SHA) is a State Corporation established under the Social Health Insurance Act, 2023 and mandated to provide financial risk protection for Kenyan residents by facilitating equitable access to quality healthcare.

This position supports the day-to-day running of office operations. The role entails maintaining cleanliness in offices and common areas, preparing and serving refreshments, assisting in the arrangement of meeting rooms, and ensuring office supplies are replenished. The Office Assistant III will also support in filing, photocopying, and delivering internal correspondence within the office.
The Office Assistant II provides operational and logistical support to ensure smooth administrative processes. Key tasks include maintaining order in offices, handling office deliveries, assisting in mail dispatch, and offering clerical support such as photocopying and scanning. The officer also supports hospitality services during meetings and workshops.
This role involves supervision of junior office assistants and coordination of cleaning, hospitality, and support functions. Responsibilities include maintaining office inventory, supporting event setups, assisting in records organization, and ensuring that administrative services run efficiently across departments.
The role supports HR operations including leave administration, personnel file management, recruitment logistics, and employee welfare programs. The HR Management Assistant III ensures data accuracy in HR records and assists in the preparation of HR reports and correspondence.
The Driver III is responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation for staff and official goods. Duties include maintaining vehicle cleanliness, performing routine checks, ensuring compliance with traffic regulations, and maintaining accurate travel logs.
This role involves transporting staff and materials to various destinations while ensuring safety, reliability, and timely delivery. The Driver II is also responsible for vehicle maintenance, tracking insurance validity, and reporting mechanical issues promptly.
The Driver I oversees long-distance travel assignments, ensuring effective route planning and compliance with operational protocols. The position involves supervising lower-level drivers, maintaining transport logs, and ensuring high standards of safety and vehicle upkeep.
The Legal Clerk II supports the Legal Department by organizing case files, recording correspondences, managing legal documents, and facilitating filing and retrieval of case materials. The clerk also assists in preparing court bundles and tracking case progress.
This position supports management by coordinating schedules, managing office communication, preparing correspondence, and organizing meetings and travel arrangements. The Office Administrator II also maintains confidential records and ensures smooth information flow within the office.
The Records Management Officer II ensures effective recordkeeping systems within SHA. Key responsibilities include receiving, classifying, indexing, and storing documents, maintaining file registers, and coordinating record transfers and retrieval.
This role supports the Internal Audit function through the execution of audit plans, reviewing financial and operational processes, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and government regulations. The officer prepares audit working papers, drafts reports, and supports risk assessment activities.
The Administration Officer II oversees office logistics, supplies, and maintenance services. The officer coordinates facility management, asset management, and general administrative functions to enhance operational efficiency across departments.
The Corporate Communication Officer II supports media relations, branding, public communication, and content development. The role involves drafting press releases, managing digital platforms, coordinating corporate events, and ensuring brand consistency across all communication channels.
This role supports strategic and operational planning processes, including data analysis, report preparation, and performance tracking. The officer assists in developing linkages with partners and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with SHA’s institutional goals.
The officer handles client interactions, complaints, and inquiries through the dispatch centre. The role involves managing communication channels, tracking service requests, ensuring timely feedback, and maintaining customer satisfaction standards.
This position is responsible for implementing HR strategies and employee development programs. Duties include recruitment coordination, performance appraisal facilitation, and supporting learning and capacity-building initiatives.
The role focuses on managing member registration, ensuring compliance with Social Health Insurance requirements, and maintaining accurate beneficiary data. The officer liaises with service providers and regional offices to resolve compliance-related issues.
The Provider Management Officer II supports the accreditation, monitoring, and performance evaluation of healthcare providers under the Social Health Insurance system. The role involves analyzing service data, managing provider relations, and addressing service quality concerns.
This role ensures that beneficiaries receive timely and accurate benefits under the health insurance schemes. The officer reviews claims, processes reimbursements, and ensures compliance with established guidelines.
The Claims Management Officer II verifies, processes, and reconciles claims submitted by healthcare providers. The role includes ensuring adherence to claims processing timelines and maintaining accurate claim records.
This officer coordinates claim dispatch and tracking processes. Responsibilities include receiving claim submissions, verifying completeness, assigning cases for processing, and ensuring prompt communication with providers and claimants.
This role involves supporting fund administration, including reconciliation of contributions, monitoring fund inflows and outflows, and preparing periodic financial reports. The officer assists in ensuring proper utilization of funds in line with financial policies.
The Finance and Accounts Officer II performs financial accounting tasks including preparation of vouchers, ledger postings, bank reconciliations, and support in financial reporting. The officer ensures compliance with Public Finance Management regulations.
This position supports ICT infrastructure, systems maintenance, and user support. Key tasks include network management, systems upgrades, data backup, cybersecurity monitoring, and supporting digital platforms within SHA.
The Supply Chain Management Officer II supports procurement planning, supplier management, and inventory control. The officer assists in the preparation of tender documents, evaluation processes, and maintaining procurement records in line with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act.
The Legal Officer I provides legal advice, drafts and reviews contracts, and ensures compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The officer also represents SHA in legal proceedings and supports policy formulation on legal and governance matters.
This role involves overseeing registration operations, ensuring members’ compliance with statutory obligations, and maintaining updated registration databases. The officer develops compliance frameworks and coordinates audits to ensure data integrity.
The Provider Management Officer I manages partnerships with healthcare providers, ensures adherence to service contracts, monitors quality performance, and evaluates provider performance indicators for improvement.
This officer manages fund performance and liquidity planning. Duties include overseeing fund collections, disbursements, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with financial standards and reporting requirements.
The Finance and Accounts Officer I handles advanced financial operations such as budgeting, expenditure control, and preparation of financial statements. The role involves ensuring adherence to accounting standards and supporting audits.
The Benefits Management Officer I coordinates benefit processing across departments, ensuring timely payment, accurate documentation, and policy compliance. The officer works closely with claims teams to enhance efficiency.
This role oversees claims verification, adjudication, and settlement processes. The officer ensures that claims are processed accurately, investigates discrepancies, and prepares periodic claims reports for management review.
The Office Administrator I manages administrative functions at departmental level, supervises administrative staff, maintains records, and supports executive correspondence and logistics coordination.

The Customer Experience Officer I manages client relations at the dispatch centre, resolves complex queries, coordinates feedback systems, and ensures high levels of service delivery and satisfaction.
The officer supports institutional planning, monitoring, and evaluation functions. Responsibilities include developing annual plans, performance reports, and facilitating coordination with development partners.
The Supply Chain Management Officer I oversees procurement operations, supplier evaluation, contract administration, and inventory management. The officer ensures compliance with procurement laws and enhances efficiency in resource utilization.
The Internal Auditor I supervises audits across departments, ensures internal controls are effective, and prepares comprehensive audit reports. The role involves advising management on risk mitigation and compliance improvements.
This role leads the claims management unit and ensures efficient processing of provider claims. The Principal Officer develops and enforces claims management policies, supervises staff, monitors turnaround times, and ensures compliance with internal guidelines.
The Assistant Director provides strategic oversight in the administration of claims management processes. The role involves designing systems for claims verification, fraud detection, and efficient disbursement of funds. The position also entails capacity-building for claims officers and performance reporting.
