Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for cleaning the Bank’s offices and related facilities as per the expected standards and guidelines.
2. Performs daily and periodical cleaning of his/her assigned work area as per the expected guidelines and standards.
3. Report maintenance defects to supervisor and follow through to ensure the same are addressed.
4. Responsible for ensuring the housekeeping checklists are kept up to date and within the expected timelines.
5. Maintain good internal and external stakeholder relations.
6. Comply with any reasonable request made by management to the best of your ability within the scope of work.
7. Report all potential and real hazards immediately to the supervisor for guidance.
8. Ensure to work with cleaning materials within the expected guidelines and report any incidences for guidance.
9. Ensure to work with protective gear /devises as instructed.
10. Adhere to the designated dress code and conduct of cleaners in the Bank at all times.
11. Comply to the duty allocations and provide support when called upon by the supervisor.
12. Continuously improve the cleaning service standards of the assigned section and knowledge of own job function.
13. Ensure to keep abreast and well updated on the Standard Operating Procedures related to the role.
14. Responsive and active team player.
15. Adherence to work procedures, policies and regulations.
Any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of C- (Minus) and above.

Work Experience

At least five (5) years working experience as a cleaner in a mid-size to large company.

1. Ability to handle cleaning equipment, machinery and cleaning chemicals.
2. Knowledge of proper storage and disposal methods.
3. Knowledge of best cleaning practices.
