The Geneva Academy is a joint centre of the University of Geneva Law Faculty and the Graduate
Institute of International and Development Studies.
Our research focuses on strengthening human rights protection, the international laws of armed conflict and transitional justice. In these areas, the Geneva Academy makes a specific contribution to policy development and debate, in government and among scholars and practitioners.
We are recruiting a team of 4 home-based researchers to support a project analysing the state of
IHL implementation in current armed conflicts globally.
The position remit will involve conducting high quality secondary research on the state of IHL in selected fragile and conflict affected states to feed into a global annual report. Each researcher will cover one of the following regions: AsiaPacific, Middle East-North Africa, Southern-West-East Africa and Central-South Americas.
Key personal skills: Excellent oral, written and analytical skills in English are required. Highly
desirable attributes include flexibility, multi-tasking, transdisciplinary thinking, reliability, and adherence to deadlines.
