The UAE Ministry of Education has issued new anti-cheating regulations ahead of first-term exams starting November 20.

The “Guide to Combating Cheating and Exam Misconduct” introduces strict penalties students caught cheating may receive zero marks, a 12-point deduction from conduct scores, and behavioral rehabilitation.

Schools and staff involved in exam violations face fines of up to Dh200,000. The guide also bans phones, social media sharing, and unauthorized communication during exams.

The ministry emphasized honesty, fairness, and collective responsibility among students, teachers, and parents to maintain exam integrity.
