About Me
Joseph is an experienced epidemiologist with a demonstrated history of working in the public health sector, both at the national and sub-national levels. Previously, Joseph worked as a County Disease Surveillance and Malaria Control Coordinator at the Department of Health in Siaya County. He has been involved in several disease outbreak investigations and control spanning from malaria,
salmonella, acute febrile illnesses, cholera, and COVID-19. In his most recent engagement, Joseph has worked for the County Government of Siaya as the County Epidemiologist and well as the head of the health research unit where he has championed the use of health data for decision-making. Joseph is exceptionally skilled in data analysis, data visualization, and use of data for decision-making. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health from Kenyatta University and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Field Epidemiology and Laboratory training from Moi University
