About Me
Dear Sir/Madam,
I come with a long and broad experience stemming from having operated in very diverse
industries on local as well as international levels.
Starting off with a thirteen year long commitment to the Royal Dutch Navy giving experiences
going well beyond the professional military career, traveling around the world meeting and
interacting with peoples of different cultures and backgrounds whilst ensuring that international
logistics operated smoothly.
Moving on to the commercial world through employment at Orbit Chemical Industries and later
Afsat Communications in positions as International Logistics Manager eventually resulting in the
start of my own enterprises in communications hardware and general contracting.
I successfully set up the initial phase for a tilapia farm in Mbita, Kenya. This company, Victory
Farms, is operating in a CO2 negative manner, making the design of the water infrastructure an
interesting challenge.
I recently completed a contract as Head of Department, Maintenance at a beach resort, Temple
Point, in Watamu, Kenya, successfully implementing a preventive maintenance program,
including a BMS called ClickUp, as well as clearing up a twelve year backlog of neglect in
general maintenance. The execution of the construction and commissioning of a complete grey
water system was an additional step towards sustainability for the resort.
Throughout my career, I have always had a deep affection for technology in its broadest sense.
From ICT to water, from end-user equipment to infrastructure and energy, I’ve worked with all.
I enjoy leading a team of professionals, keeping in mind that all jobs are respectable
professions, no matter which discipline. Encouraging people to be open, responsible and hungry
to learn, to explore alternatives is the best thing a leader can do.
I strongly believe that staff is the greatest asset any company can have, personal growth
ensures organic company growth.
Given a chance to show your esteemed organisation my approach, my interaction and expertise
in the field of maintenance would be highly appreciated. I am sure I will not disappoint.
Warm regards,
Jaap Krijger
