Last week, a candidate told me:
“I refresh my inbox 10 times a day… just to see nothing.”

That silence hurts more than a rejection email.

    Because candidates don’t fear “No.”
    They fear not knowing.
    What ghosting does:

    Creates self‑doubt
    Drains confidence
    Makes job search emotionally heavy
    Damages trust in companies

    What recruiters can do:

    Give closure
    Share real timelines
    Stop disappearing after interviews

A simple update can save someone weeks of anxiety.
Silence sends a message — so send the right one.
    What’s your ghosting experience?

To all applicants who feel like they’re “not good at interviews” — this is for you.

Not everyone is naturally confident in interviews. Some people get nervous, overthink their answers, or struggle to clearly express their thoughts. And that’s completely okay.

As an HR professional, I’ve seen candidates who may not have the strongest interview presence but turn out to be some of the most reliable, hardworking, and high-performing employees once they’re on the job.

Interviewing is a skill — and like any skill, it can be improved with practice. But qualities like dedication, accountability, and strong work ethic go beyond one conversation.

If you know you’re better at doing the work than talking about it, don’t lose confidence. Keep applying. Keep improving. The right company will see your potential beyond a single interview performance.

You are more than one interview.  less

I want to share something many job seekers silently go through.

Getting a call for an interview brings hope. You prepare, you revise, you travel, you invest your time and energy, sometimes for hours of discussion.

And then, after all that, the response is often: "We found candidates better than you."

That’s okay. Rejections are part of growth.

    But what’s disheartening is when:
    - Interviews are conducted without real intent to hire
    - Candidates are kept waiting for days with no feedback
    - No constructive reason is shared for rejection

If the decision is already made, or internal candidates are preferred, please respect the time and effort of applicants by being transparent.

A short, honest message saves candidates from false hope, anxiety, and wasted resources.

This is not a complaint — it’s a humble request for a more respectful hiring process.

Time and dignity matter for job seekers too.

    The recruiter replies:

“Unfortunately, we are moving forward with other candidates.”
    End of story?

    Not quite.

    Two weeks later…

The same company reposts the same job.
    The truth?

    The candidate was qualified.

But during the interview, when asked

“Do you have any questions for us?”

    The candidate said

“No, I think everything is clear.”

    That single sentence changed everything.

Because interviews are not just about answering questions.

    They are about signaling value.

    When you ask:

    • “What does success look like in the first 90 days?”
    • “Why did the last person leave this role?”
    • “What challenges is the team currently facing?”

You shift from applicant to asset.

    Silence feels safe.

    But strategy stands out.

Many candidates are rejected not because they lack skill

    But because they lack positioning.

    Interviews are perception battles.

    Curiosity signals confidence.

    Questions signal seniority.

    Silence signals passivity.

    Next time you are asked

    “Do you have any questions?”

    Remember

That moment can decide the offer.

Have you ever realized you could have strengthened your interview with better questions?

They prepare. They show up. They follow up.

    Weeks go by — silence.

Then one day, they open LinkedIn and see the same recruiter repost the exact same job.

This is where candidate experience breaks down.

    It’s not about rejection.
Most professionals can handle a “No.”

    It’s about respect.

    A simple feedback message.
    A short update.
    Even an automated response.

Silence damages employer brand more than rejection ever will.

As recruiters and hiring managers, we have to remember:

    People are not CVs.
They are professionals who invested time and hope into that process.

Let’s normalize closing the loop. Even when the answer is no.

    Dear Applicants

If you’ve applied for many roles with no response,
If you’ve attended interviews and walked out doubting yourself,
Never think that you’re not good enough

Let me be honest with you, a rejection is not always about your skills or experience.

Sometimes the decision was made before the role was posted or the budget changed or the company was looking for a different profile or simply the timing wasn’t right.

    That doesn’t make you unqualified.
It means the market is tough and not always fair.

What you have to do in 2026
    ✅ Keep improving your profile
✅ Be honest not exaggerated in your CV
    ✅ Learn from every interview,
✅ Don’t let rejection define your value

You are not just a CV,
And the right opportunity will recognize you soon  less

    Dear HR Professionals,

If you’re not willing to hire a candidate, please—
    don’t call them for a face-to-face interview. 🙏

Because when a candidate travels to your office, it’s never just a trip.
It’s hope, effort, and sometimes the last bit of money they have. 💔

    It means:
🧥 Buying new clothes—sometimes even new shoes
🚕 Spending on travel, food, and accommodation
💭 Carrying anxiety, stress, and silent fear of rejection
💤 Sleepless nights thinking, “What if this is my chance?”
⏳ Skipping other interviews for one opportunity

Every candidate walks in with dreams in their eyes and trust in your company.

So please, if the decision is already made, don’t offer false hope.

Because behind every “We’ll get back to you”
there’s someone waiting… and quietly breaking inside. 💔

    Empathy costs nothing—
but for someone, it can mean everything. ❤️  less

The one that makes all the waiting feel worth it.

I’ve seen candidates get rejected five, six, seven times… and then land the role that finally felt aligned.

I’ve seen people walk out of interviews convinced they didn't do well — only to receive an offer days later.

I’ve seen hiring managers go quiet for weeks… and then come back with a yes.

At times, this process can feel so personal. So heavy. So discouraging.

But here’s what I also know (and want to share as a friendly reminder!)

👉 One interview doesn’t define you.
👉 One “no” doesn’t cancel your ability.
👉 One delay doesn’t erase your value.

If you’re in the waiting stage right now — refreshing your inbox, replaying your answers, questioning everything... I hope you remember that you’re capable, qualified, and closer than you think.

    Rooting for you, always 💛

In the end, many candidates say “Yes” to a job not because it matches their worth - but because they don’t want to be left with nothing.

This is the harsh reality of today’s job market.

More effort. More pressure. Less clarity.
