During my work experience in English and Literature, I was involved in teaching, guiding learners in language development, and analyzing literary texts. I assisted students in improving their reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills through classroom instruction and practical exercises. I also helped learners understand different literary genres such as poetry, drama, oral literature, and prose.
My responsibilities included preparing lesson plans, guiding students in creative composition writing, marking assignments, and providing feedback to improve their language skills. I encouraged learners to use figurative language such as similes, metaphors, and imagery to make their writing more creative and expressive.
Additionally, I facilitated discussions on literary texts, helping students interpret themes, characters, style, and moral lessons in stories and poems. I also participated in organizing class presentations, debates, and oral literature performances to enhance studentsโ confidence and communication skills.
Through this experience, I developed strong teaching, communication, classroom management, and critical analysis skills, which are essential in the field of English and Literature.
