About Me
I'm a data scientist, graduate Mechanical Engineer. I've loved engaging in indoor games since 2012 when i was in primary school.
I have strong technical skills with an academic background in both Data science and mechanical Engineering.
I have done web scraping to collect data from real estate websites, Google maps, social media pages among many other sources to identify trends. I am trained in the use of various packages eg. selenium, Beautiful soup and other python libraries.
From my interest in puzzles, I have been able to tell data stories that have guided in strategizing for optimum sales.
For my undergraduate degree, I had a data driven problem statement on the rising levels of climate change in the country. Data showed that the forest cover in Kenya has dropped by approximately 12,000ha annually(according to EcohubMap) since independence and in the years between 2001 and 2022, Kenya lost 375kha of forest cover. As a result I designed and fabricated a briquette making machine that would see that the rate of deforestation is greatly reduced.
My fight against climate change through deforestation has not changed, and am also considering ways of ensuring we have a better climate. Together we can restore our good climate.
I have taken a number of voluntary projects at my local church including fund drives towards the purchase of various church equipments. I had an opportunity of mentoring 3 youths at the local church on the use of various tech tools in the church premises with an aim of driving the gospel.
