His professional journey spans distinguished service within the Kenya Police Service's Economic and Commercial Crimes Unit, senior forensic leadership across East Africa with Old Mutual Group, and consulting assignments in forensic accounting, investigations, security management, and governance advisory. Throughout his career, Simon has earned a reputation for leading complex investigations with objectivity, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to justice, accountability, and ethical leadership.
A recipient of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship, Simon combines international academic training with extensive practical investigative experience to help institutions strengthen governance, combat financial crime, enhance regulatory compliance, and build resilient systems of accountability. His expertise spans forensic accounting, anti-money laundering, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, enterprise investigations, corporate security, governance advisory, and the application of Artificial Intelligence to modern financial crime detection.
Simon is also the founder and architect of the Kenya Public Finance Loss Observatory (KPFLO)—an independent, non-partisan initiative dedicated to documenting, preserving, and analysing public financial losses to strengthen institutional memory and promote better governance. Guided by the principles of "Truth before Opinion" and "Evidence before Conclusion," the Observatory reflects his conviction that transparency, accountability, and historical knowledge are indispensable to sustainable public sector reform.
Beyond his professional work, Simon is an avid competitive golfer whose favourite course is the Royal Nairobi Golf Club. The discipline, integrity, patience, and strategic thinking demanded by golf closely mirror the values that define his leadership and investigative approach. He is also a devoted lover of worship music, drawing inspiration from his Christian faith, which remains the cornerstone of his personal values and leadership philosophy.
