About Me
My name is Ruth Munini Karanja, and I’m a qualified Accounting Technician with over six years of experience in accounting and finance. I hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Part II qualification from Royal Business School, and I’ve completed my ATD (Accounting Technician Diploma) from the Nairobi Institute of Business Studies.
currently, I work as an Accountant at Star Travel and Tours Limited, where I manage the company’s books of account, perform bank and client account reconciliations, and handle invoicing and tax filing through systems like Travcom Galileo and iTax. I also oversee cash flow management, debt collection, and issue payment receipts to clients. One of my key strengths is my attention to detail, which ensures accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliations.
Throughout my career, I’ve developed a solid foundation in accounting and financial management, and I’m eager to continue learning and developing my skills, especially in areas like sales and marketing, which align with my career interests. I enjoy working in dynamic environments and am always looking for ways to improve processes and contribute to business growth while maintaining sound professional ethics.
