I have a Bachelors of Commerce degree having attained a Second class upper division in addition to being a CPA- K finalist. Professionally practicing as an accountant for 9 years in the service industries in the Kenyan Market. Keen to embark on an opportunity to which I will articulate my experience with confidence to be a perfect match and perform exemplary beyond expectation.
I have mastered all day-to-day accounting operations, including accurate client invoicing, bank reconciliations, and petty cash management, procurement to pay processes, payroll processing, bank and treasury accounting, filing and archiving. I have been responsible for all aspects of financial accounting and reporting, including month-end and year-end closings, financial statement preparation, KRA interactions and audit. Payables being a central and sensitive department in an organization requires a keen eye to detail, speed, and accuracy; and requires working with other departments and coordination, skills that I have acquired over my years of practice. My experience with Quick books, Advanced Excel, SAP Business One systems, Sun systems, Material control Systems and laser fiche has equipped me with the skills to navigate through ERP systems and gain confidence to interact with any system to ensure accurate transaction posting, as well as the ability to perform comprehensive bank and intercompany reconciliations. My meticulous attention to detail has consistently ensured that financial and statutory audits are conducted smoothly and that tax returns are prepared accurately and on time.
I am a self motivated, objective, analytical problem solver confident that my skills, expertise and experience align well and that I can make a valuable contribution to the team and company at large. I am flexible, easy to train , quick to learn, an excellent communicator able to work independently and as a team player and derives joy in peer coaching and training to ensure synergy and organizational collaboration.
