About Me
Demonstrating over a decade of experience in social protection and gender equity, I have excelled as a Welfare and Safeguarding Officer at Lipton Teas and Infusion Kenya since 2014. Coordinating gender and economic inclusion interventions, I have successfully established gender committees and working groups, while also leading strategies for and preventing sexual harassment and gender-based violence and exploitation. Developing training programs on human rights, providing psychosocial support, and managing child protection initiatives are key aspects of my role. Additionally, I coordinate impactful projects such as the UN Women safety program and company-wide employee engagement initiatives. My previous experiences include a research Assistant at the African Women Studies Centre, Consultancy at the UNDP and disability support during emergencies at the Northern Nomadic Disabled persons Organization. Holding a Master’s Degree in Communication, Bachelor’s Degree in sociology and various diplomas in Business Development, Human Rights, and Human Resource Management, I am proficient in MS Office, HRIS tools, and data analysis. I take pride in identifying and addressing organizational gaps, including facilitating special training sessions for employees who are hard of hearing, showcasing my commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive environments.
