About Me
I currently work at WIA East Africa (formerly Wachira Irungu & Associates), CPAs as an audit associate
having joined as an intern in March 2021. At WIA, I have been involved in auditing for diverse clients
including: Plan International (Kenya Country Office and Region of East & South Africa Office), KDMI,
Upper Hill Medical Centre, Samura Engineering, Securex, Health Right Kenya, COM 21, Imenti Tea
Factory. among others.
Other than the audit and consulting work, I was also engaged as an accountant where I performed the
following role:
Preparing management Accounts
Accounting and preparing monthly financial statements
Computation of income tax, Value Added Tax, and filing annual tax returns
Preparation of bank reconciliations
Payroll preparation
Petty cash management
