About Me
I have a solid background in medical billing, coding, and healthcare administration. Over the past several years, I’ve gained extensive experience in accurately assigning ICD-10 and CPT codes for diagnoses, procedures, and treatments, ensuring that patient records are appropriately documented for billing and insurance purposes. My role also involved managing patient admissions and discharges using various hospital systems such as Aphicons, MedBot, and insurance portals like SLADE and HICS. I’m familiar with all aspects of the revenue cycle, including preparing and submitting claims, verifying insurance coverage, and managing patient billing.
One of my key strengths is my attention to detail and ability to navigate complex insurance claims. I’ve handled unpaid claims, collaborated with insurance companies to resolve issues, and ensured compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA. Additionally, I’ve been responsible for generating financial reports and identifying trends in billing, which has helped the healthcare providers I’ve worked with improve their financial operations.
In terms of education, I also have experience working as a Project Assistant at the Busara Centre for Behavioural Economics, where I contributed to research projects focused on healthcare and behavioral economics. This experience allowed me to develop strong analytical and project management skills.
Overall, I’m passionate about ensuring that the billing process runs smoothly and efficiently, while always ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. I enjoy working in team-oriented environments and am always looking for ways to improve processes and support the team in achieving its goals.
