I am a tech-commercial enthusiast driven by an overwhelming desire to drive financial & social inclusion for all as i strongly believe this is one of the ways of transforming lives & livelihoods while also driving an organization’s bottom line. Most recently I worked at d. light Africa as product category manager for mobile pay-go responsible for overall P &L and portfolio health across its Africa Markets.
Over and above growing the revenue across Africa markets to over 60 million dollars in FY 2021/22, I initiated and drove strategic partnerships with original equipment manufacturers (Samsung, Nokia and Transsion), telecommunication companies across Africa and successfully onboarded MTN, Airtel, Vodacom, Safaricom across d. light markets of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania & Nigeria.
Previously I worked for Azuri Technologies-UK as Head of Distribution Delivery in charge of the commercial and financial success of the distribution partners, by ensuring that all financial and commercial partner activities are delivered against set key performance indicators in a cost-effective manner.
As the principal analyst, I was responsible for all operational, financial and reporting KPI's between Azuri Technologies and our East Africa distribution partners.
Before joining Azuri, I was part of the team that set up Equity Banks Fin-tech Subsidiary-Finserve Africa as Senior Product Manager responsible for end-to-end execution of Equitel’ s acquisition strategy via sales of dual sim phones through channel partners, driving growth, awareness and consumption of Equitel as a mobile banking channel for payments of goods and services.
I bring with me over 15 years of work experience in the commercial space that has seen me drive go to market strategy and partnerships in renewable energy , consumer durables, telecommunications and financial services industries across Africa.
