About Me
I am an enthusiastic, technically and proactive skilled mechanical engineer with 7 years of mechanical engineering field, holding a Bachelor’s Degree from the esteemed Technical University of Mombasa and registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya. My educational background is complemented by practical experiences, including training in Mechanical AutoCAD at Bell Institute of Technology and specialized courses in HDPE Pipes Butt Fusion Welding and Confined Space at Impresa Construzioni Maltauro S.P.A (ICM), Prestigious Consultancy & Management Ltd, and Kaileys Consortium.
I have gained valuable experience at Managed Document Solutions (MFI), Mombasa Maize Millers, and Impresa Construzioni Maltauro S.P.A (ICM), where I played key roles in achieving significant milestones. These include the installation, testing, and commissioning of a 14,000-ton wheat silo and a new wheat plant intake section at Mombasa Maize Millers Ltd (August 2019 – March 2021), as well as overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations for high-tech projects at Konza Techno City Phase 1 (March 2021 – December 2022). As a Field Service Engineer-Electromechanical Engineer at Tatu City Limited, Tatu Water and Sanitation Company (TATUWASCo), I diligently operated, monitored, regulated, and maintained water and sewerage treatment plants, laboratories, and water supply and sewerage systems, ensuring a stable, reliable, and efficient 24/7 service. At Bio-Logical Green Carbon Limited, I served as a Mechanical and Maintenance Supervisor, where I was responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment used in Biochar production through the Pyrolysis process, ensuring continuous, efficient, and safe facility operation. Currently, at Persea Oils & Orchards Limited, which produces the finest quality cold press Organic Extra Virgin Avocado Oil and crude oil, I am a Maintenance Supervisor, where I oversee maintenance strategies using advanced software to optimize machinery, prevent failures, and ensure safety compliance. I diagnose and resolve issues in pumps, conveyors, motors, and gearboxes, implement maintenance improvements, collaborate with production teams, train employees, manage contractors, ensure adherence to safety and project standards, and maintain records, conduct evaluations, and oversee procurement and budgeting for operational reliability.
Proficient in engineering software like AutoCAD and SolidWorks, as well as MS Excel and MS Word, I possess strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to teamwork. I excel in systems troubleshooting, planning, scheduling and managing maintenance of machinery and facility. Gemba Kaizen practices, new plant/equipment installation, testing and commissioning, control panel PLC programming, industrial piping and plumbing, pressure testing, welding and fabrication, report writing, electrical knowledge, budget and inventory management, contractors management, and safety compliance.
I am a quick learner with a positive attitude, adept at working both independently and collaboratively. Committed to high standards and eager to embrace challenges, I aim to leverage my mechanical engineering skills in a challenging environment to benefit my employer and contribute to global goals.
