About Me
I am a medical laboratory technician currently working with Kenya Medical Research Institute.I hold a certificate of Medical Laboratory Technology from Technical University of Mombasa. My current job description is a project manager.My responsibilities are management,DNA extraction,coordination with relevant bodies to get research permits like Kenya Wildlife Services and National Environmental Management Authority. I work on a study that tries to find a resistant gene on snails that are vectors for Bilharzia.I have a vast of experience in Malacology,snail dissection, phlebotomy,DNA extraction and microscopy.
I have been part of 2 publications on heat shock and multi-strain compartibily between parasite & snail host.
