I used to think good design meant a beautiful render. Then I spent five years on real construction sites and learned the harder truth: a space only succeeds if it actually gets built the way it was meant to be — on time, on budget, and without a hundred site clarifications along the way.
That's the gap I work in. I'm a COA-registered Architect and Interior Designer based in India, currently relocating to Dubai, with 5+ years designing residential and commercial fit-out spaces from the first concept sketch through the last construction detail. I don't just hand off a pretty layout and walk away — I stay close to a project through FF&E selection, material and finish decisions, working drawings, and site execution, so nothing gets lost in translation between the design intent and what actually gets installed.
Day to day, that looks like:
→ Turning client briefs into space plans and interior layouts that balance how a space looks with how it actually functions
→ Producing detailed AutoCAD drawing sets and 3D visualizations in SketchUp and Enscape that cut client approval cycles down to 1-2 rounds instead of 3
→ Selecting furniture, fixtures, finishes, and lighting with real design intent — not just filling a spec sheet
→ Coordinating directly with contractors and suppliers on-site, catching issues before they become expensive ones
→ Delivering projects on time, every time — 15+ residential and commercial fit-outs, 100% on-schedule delivery
I'm comfortable managing several projects at once without losing the details, and I pick up new tools and workflows quickly — useful in a market where every client and contractor works a little differently.
Right now, I'm looking for my next role as an Interior Designer or Interior Fit-Out Designer in Dubai, ideally with a team that cares as much about buildability as they do about beauty. I'm immediately available to relocate.
