Role Overview
The Support Crew member helps keep furniture moving smoothly from stockroom arrival to showroom display or customer delivery. This hands-on role combines furniture assembly, stock handling, delivery support and showroom upkeep, helping protect product quality and create a well-presented, reliable customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble furniture using the appropriate tools and manufacturer instructions, checking that parts fit correctly and each item is stable and complete.
- Inspect furniture before and after assembly or delivery for damage, defects or missing components, and raise issues promptly.
- Receive, unload, sort, label and store incoming stock safely so products can be located and retrieved efficiently.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory checks, recording or reporting discrepancies when they arise.
- Prepare furniture for delivery by loading, stacking and securing items carefully; help unload and handle products without causing damage.
- Join delivery teams when needed to assist with furniture assembly, placement and basic setup at the customer’s location.
- Set up, move and maintain showroom displays in line with store layout and presentation guidelines, including promotional and seasonal arrangements.
- Keep warehouse and showroom areas tidy and hazard-free, follow safe lifting practices, use protective equipment and store tools appropriately.
Requirements & Qualifications
