Role Overview
The Technical Manager will guide engineering and technical coordination across major civil infrastructure works in Dubai, including roads, highways, underpasses, and utility networks. Working with project teams, design consultants, and government authorities, this role helps resolve design and delivery challenges while keeping engineering outputs aligned with project requirements, quality expectations, and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical coordination for roads, highways, underpasses, utility networks, and related infrastructure packages.
- Review design deliverables, engineering documents, and project specifications for compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
- Coordinate with construction teams, consultants, and authorities to address technical queries and remove obstacles to project progress.
- Provide engineering guidance during planning and execution to support effective project delivery.
- Oversee technical submissions, design reviews, and interdisciplinary coordination throughout project stages.
- Check that proposed engineering solutions meet quality requirements, contract specifications, and regulatory expectations.
- Support authority coordination and approvals, including engagement with Dubai Municipality, RTA, or comparable agencies.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 16 years of professional experience in civil infrastructure projects, including five or more years in a Technical Manager or Engineering Manager position on major projects.
- Substantial experience with roads, highways, underpasses, and utility networks in the UAE.
- Experience coordinating with Dubai Municipality, RTA, or similar government authorities.
- Working proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM platforms, and project coordination tools.
- Experience using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure development, road engineering and construction standards, technical documentation, and authority approval processes.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, coordination, and problem-solving ability.
