Role Overview
The Technical Business Analyst will turn payment and corporate banking needs into clear requirements that technical teams can build, test, and deliver. Working with stakeholders across business, technology, and project delivery, the role focuses on UAE banking integrations and payment workflows, helping ensure that connected solutions support accurate processing from initiation through settlement and reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit and analyse requirements for banking, payments, and integration initiatives, then document them for business and technical audiences.
- Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process details, and data mappings.
- Define and support corporate-to-bank connectivity using host-to-host (H2H), SFTP, and APIs.
- Examine payment flows, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation to identify requirements, dependencies, and potential gaps.
- Work with business stakeholders, developers, testers, and project managers to clarify requirements and coordinate delivery.
- Contribute to solution implementation and testing for payment platforms, payment engines, and banking integrations.
- Keep project documentation accurate, complete, and aligned with agreed business needs.
- Support integrations involving relevant banking and payment services, including SWIFT and UAE-specific platforms.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 9 years of business analysis experience in banking.
- Substantial UAE banking experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience with corporate-to-bank integrations using H2H, SFTP, and APIs.
- Practical knowledge of SWIFT FileAct and SWIFT MT/MX, as well as FTS, AANI, TAS, and RERA integrations.
- Strong understanding of corporate and transaction banking, payment hubs or engines, and the payment lifecycle, including clearing, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Ability to produce clear BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and data-mapping documentation.
- Familiarity with REST and SOAP API integrations, supported by strong analysis, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related discipline is indicated; the qualification is not confirmed.
