Solar Project Manager

International Development Company (IDC) is seeking an experienced Solar Project Manager to join its growing Renewable Energy team in Abu Dhabi. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the design, execution, and delivery of innovative solar energy projects while working with a team dedicated to sustainable energy solutions.

The successful candidate will oversee project planning, technical coordination, procurement support, and system implementation across a range of solar PV projects. The position requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple project phases efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Grid-Connected, Off-Grid, and Hybrid Solar PV systems.

• Design and integrate Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

• Prepare technical proposals, BOQs, and cost estimates.

• Provide procurement support, vendor evaluations, and technical clarifications.

• Prepare AutoCAD drawings, including SLDs, layouts, electrical drawings, panel GA, and cable routing.

• Plan projects, develop schedules, and support site execution activities.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers throughout project delivery.

• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

• Prepare project documentation, as-built drawings, and handover documents.

• Provide technical support for Operation and Maintenance (O&M) activities.

• Prepare techno-commercial proposals and tender submissions.

• Support business development initiatives, client meetings, and technical presentations.

• Identify new business opportunities and develop technical solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy.

• Experience in Grid-Connected, Off-Grid, and Hybrid Solar PV systems.

• Experience with PVsyst, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.

• Strong project coordination and communication skills.

• UAE Driving Licence preferred.

• Strong knowledge of:

• Electrical systems.

• Electrical protection systems.

• Low-voltage (LV) distribution.

• Previous experience in Solar Projects, particularly Off-Grid Solar PV Systems for remote well sites, instrumentation loads, telecommunications, cathodic protection (CP) systems, or other Oil & Gas applications, will be a significant advantage.
