Description:
An established organization in the UAE is currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing core accounting functions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity across all transactions and reports. This role is best suited for professionals with strong technical accounting knowledge and hands-on experience within the contracting sector.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing financial operations, supporting business planning, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Immediate availability is highly preferred for this position.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and managing accurate financial reports in line with accounting standards
• Handling budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Conducting cost analysis to support operational and management decisions
• Managing accounts payable and receivable functions
• Coordinating with auditors and supporting audit-related requirements
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
• Identifying and managing financial risks effectively
• Leading and supporting the accounting team where required
• Managing and maintaining financial systems and accounting software

Candidate requirements include:

• Proven accounting experience, preferably within the contracting industry
• Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and controls
