Role Overview
Supreme Worlds is seeking a Senior Accountant to run its accounting activities independently in a retail business. You will keep financial records accurate, coordinate regular closing and reporting, and help maintain controls that support compliant, dependable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting across the business, using Odoo ERP to manage and maintain financial information.
- Prepare financial statements and recurring reports, ensuring figures are accurate and delivered on time.
- Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies for resolution.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable records and related accounting activities.
- Record and monitor inventory transactions in line with retail operations.
- Complete month-end close activities and keep supporting records organised and reliable.
- Review accounting processes and controls to support compliance and efficient operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Three to four years of experience managing a broad or full accounting function.
- Strong hands-on accounting experience in the retail sector.
- Practical Odoo ERP experience; this is a mandatory requirement.
- Working knowledge of financial reporting, statement preparation, bank reconciliation, payables, receivables, inventory accounting, and month-end closing.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
