- Oversee accounting for inventory, fixed assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intercompany transactions to ensure complete and accurate records.
- Maintain full accounting records for joint ventures, covering transaction processing, period-end reconciliations, reporting schedules, and necessary closing adjustments.
- Prepare and review financial reporting schedules for management reports, statutory statements, and audit deliverables.
- Support external, statutory, and tax audits by preparing requested documentation, resolving queries, and implementing audit recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies across all transactions, with particular attention to transfer pricing and related-party accounting.
- Handle Kenya-specific tax accounting duties, including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax computations and filing support.
- Investigate accounting discrepancies, correct reconciling items, and recommend improvements to strengthen internal controls and reporting efficiency.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting certification required: CPA(K), ACCA, ACA, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- 3–5 years of mandatory experience within a Big Four firm (Deloitte, PwC, EY, or KPMG) is non-negotiable.
- At least 5 years of further accounting experience in a multinational, industrial, manufacturing, energy, agribusiness, or Export Processing Zone (EPZ) environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting controls.
- Proven experience supporting statutory audits, tax audits, and external reporting cycles.
