Job Description

SSM Health is seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Scheduler to join its Outpatient Services team. This remote opportunity is ideal for individuals who have strong communication skills, excellent organization abilities, and an interest in supporting healthcare operations.

The successful candidate will assist patients and healthcare providers by collecting required information, scheduling appointments, managing referrals, and ensuring accurate updates within electronic medical systems. This role plays an important part in providing smooth access to healthcare services and maintaining quality patient support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to patient and provider office calls while providing professional assistance.

• Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information.

• Schedule medical appointments and coordinate referrals to healthcare providers and services.

• Update and maintain provider contact information as required.

• Enter appointment details, patient information, and special instructions into electronic medical systems.

• Follow department protocols and maintain accurate documentation for compliance.

• Support additional administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent qualification.

• No prior experience required; entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Good organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a healthcare environment.

• Comfortable using computers and performing keyboard/data entry tasks.
