Role Overview
The QA/QC Supervisor leads quality management across the Silver Hill Project, guiding work from design review and material selection through construction, testing, and handover. By setting clear inspection standards, resolving quality issues early, and maintaining dependable records, this role helps reduce rework and deliver work that meets contractual, regulatory, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain the Project Quality Plan in accordance with ISO 9001 and the project contract; prepare package-specific Inspection and Test Plans, procedures, checklists, forms, and defined hold and review points.
- Direct site inspections and verification of construction against approved drawings and specifications, including checks on delivered materials and their storage, sampling, and approval.
- Coordinate laboratory testing and assess results for materials such as concrete, reinforcement steel, aggregates, and earthworks; witness critical construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Manage hold-point releases and make timely decisions on whether inspected work and materials meet project requirements.
- Administer non-conformance reports from identification to verified close-out, investigate underlying causes, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with project teams.
- Plan and conduct quality audits of site operations, subcontractors, and suppliers; assist with external audits and raise emerging compliance risks with project leadership.
- Assess supplier and subcontractor quality capability, review their quality plans and inspection arrangements before work begins, and monitor performance against contractual obligations.
- Lead the QA/QC team, allocate inspection coverage, deliver quality briefings and training, and report performance through regular project updates.
- Maintain traceable inspection, testing, approval, non-conformance, and calibration records; oversee snagging and de-snagging and prepare quality records for project handover.
- Work with the HSE team and other site functions to promote consistent, first-time-right workmanship.
