Role Overview
This Nairobi-based position combines field-heavy property acquisition with proactive client stewardship for a real estate and hospitality operation. Day to day, you will identify and evaluate new residential and land opportunities, manage serviced-apartment portfolios, and guide owners and tenants through every step from first contact to signed lease and handover. Your work directly expands the company’s property inventory and protects its reputation as a trusted intermediary in Kenya’s competitive rental and short-stay market.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively scout and pitch to landlords, developers, and estate agents to grow the company’s managed property pipeline, including both long-term rentals and serviced apartments.
- Run property inspections, feasibility checks, preliminary valuations, and title verification before onboarding any new asset, ensuring legal and structural soundness.
- Coordinate the full leasing journey: schedule viewings, conduct walk-throughs, vet prospective tenants, prepare lease documents, and manage key handovers and move-in processes.
- Oversee the daily presentation and readiness of serviced apartments, including unit turnover schedules, furnishing standards, and guest/tenant communication.
- Keep property databases current with accurate listing details, availability calendars, and market-driven pricing recommendations.
- Serve as the main contact for owners, investors, and corporate clients, responding quickly to queries on rental yields, contract terms, and local market conditions.
- Support business development by researching rental trends, regulatory shifts, and emerging neighbourhoods across Nairobi, then feeding insights into pipeline reports and strategy meetings.
- Maintain transaction logs, inspection records, and monthly pipeline summaries for management review.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Real Estate, Property Management, Land Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related commercial field.
- At least five years of hands-on experience in property management, leasing, acquisition support, or client relations within the real estate sector.
- Solid working knowledge of Kenyan land laws, lease agreements, due-diligence workflows, and investment evaluation methods.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) plus comfort with property management systems or real estate listing software.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to close deals, influence owners, and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
- Organisational discipline to juggle numerous properties, viewings, and client demands without losing attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset for comparing rental rates, estimating yield potential, and spotting viable acquisition opportunities.
