This academic position involves delivering high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes while maintaining a strong personal research profile. Day to day, you will prepare and present lectures, assess student work, supervise research projects, and contribute to departmental committees — all in a university environment that values scholarship, innovation, and professional relevance. Your efforts will directly support the institution’s academic reputation and its mission to produce graduates who are equipped for real-world practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and seminars for both undergraduate and postgraduate students in your area of expertise.
- Develop, review, and update course curricula, learning materials, and assessment frameworks to maintain academic quality and current industry relevance.
- Assess student performance through exams, essays, practicals, and presentations, and provide constructive feedback to support student success.
- Supervise and mentor students completing research projects, dissertations, or theses at various academic levels.
- Conduct original research and publish findings in reputable academic journals, books, or conference proceedings.
- Participate in faculty and university committees, including curriculum reviews, quality assurance, and accreditation activities.
- Build and maintain professional connections with industry, regulatory bodies, and academic peers; contribute to community outreach or professional practice initiatives as required.
- Handle administrative duties such as examinations coordination, student academic advisement, or programme timetabling when assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in the relevant specialization from a recognised university; a PhD in the same or closely related field is a strong advantage.
- Proven teaching experience at the university level, with evidence of effective student-centred pedagogy.
- Where applicable, significant professional or industry experience directly related to your area of specialisation.
- A demonstrable record of scholarly research, professional engagement, or creative output relevant to the discipline and role.
- Full compliance with the academic and professional standards prescribed by the Commission for University Education (CUE) and any other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Current registration or membership with the appropriate professional or regulatory body where such certification is a condition of practice.
