Job Description

Role Overview

Zamara is looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central developer to build and support ERP capabilities within its digital transformation work. You’ll turn business needs into reliable AL extensions, connect Business Central with other systems, and improve the performance and usability of solutions used across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and deploy Business Central extensions and customisations using AL.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Business Central, Microsoft Power Platform, and other connected systems.
  • Investigate application defects, trace their causes, and deliver effective fixes.
  • Improve system performance, scalability, and resilience through sound development and data-management practices.
  • Contribute to upgrades and migrations, helping safeguard data and configuration during transitions.
  • Use version control, CI/CD practices, and clear documentation to support maintainable releases.
  • Take part in code reviews, testing, and release planning, and work with analysts, project managers, and business users to shape technical solutions.
  • Keep current with Business Central capabilities and AppSource publishing requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • At least four years of development experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV.
  • Strong working knowledge of AL, Visual Studio Code, and the Business Central extension model.
  • Proficiency with SQL Server, including data management and performance tuning.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and close attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or another CI/CD platform is desirable.
  • Experience with C#, .NET, Microsoft Cloud, Power Platform, or Azure services is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with insurance, pensions, or financial services processes is beneficial.
