Position: Management Accountant

Role Objective

We are seeking a high-caliber Management Accountant to serve as the financial navigator for our regional operations. Your mandate is to transform raw financial data into strategic insights that drive profitability. You will lead the budgeting and forecasting cycles, maintain rigorous cost controls across production lines, and ensure the absolute integrity of our financial reporting. This position requires a professional who is as comfortable with complex product costing and variance analysis as they are with statutory compliance and internal risk management.

Key Workstreams

Financial Performance & Reporting

  • Generate precise monthly and quarterly management accounts to guide executive decision-making.

  • Maintain the general ledger and oversee all account reconciliations to ensure 100% data integrity.

  • Coordinate the annual budgeting process and provide detailed variance reports to identify operational gaps.

  • Develop robust financial models and liquidity forecasts to optimize working capital and cash flow.

Cost Governance & Profitability

  • Conduct deep-dive product costing and margin assessments to identify opportunities for expense reduction.

  • Monitor production wastage and operational variances, implementing corrective actions where necessary.

  • Evaluate the financial viability of new business initiatives and pricing strategies.

  • Analyze inventory costs to ensure efficient resource allocation and stock management.

Risk, Compliance & Controls

  • Enforce stringent internal control systems to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risk.

  • Manage the full spectrum of tax compliance, including statutory deductions and timely filings.

  • Act as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors, ensuring swift implementation of findings.

  • Promote a culture of accountability and accuracy across the procurement and production teams.

Expertise Profile

The Essentials

  • Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

  • Certification: CPA-K Finalist status is mandatory.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a finance role specifically within a manufacturing or food processing setting.

  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced financial forecasting tools.

  • Analytical Precision: An expert ability to interpret complex cost structures and production data.

  • Leadership: Capable of guiding junior staff and collaborating across departments to improve efficiency.
