Role Overview
Deliver engaging primary-level lessons that help learners build knowledge and confidence. The role combines thoughtful lesson preparation, supportive classroom leadership, and regular assessment to meet learners’ differing needs and track their progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan lessons suited to primary learners and aligned with the intended learning outcomes.
- Teach subject content in clear, engaging ways that encourage participation.
- Maintain an orderly, respectful classroom and support positive learner behaviour.
- Adapt teaching approaches to accommodate individual learning needs.
- Assess learners’ understanding and progress through appropriate methods.
- Keep accurate records of academic performance and assessment results.
- Communicate constructively with colleagues and work collaboratively to support learning.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Primary Teacher Education.
- Valid Teachers Service Commission (TSC) registration certificate.
- Strong lesson-planning and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to assess learners and maintain accurate academic records.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine interest in teaching and supporting learners’ individual needs.
