Role Overview
This role supports the planning and delivery of mechanical installation projects across commercial and specialised buildings, including plumbing, drainage, solar water heating and HVAC works. You will connect project schedules, site progress, material control and cost tracking so teams can complete installations to specification and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain project schedules in Microsoft Project, monitoring progress against planned milestones.
- Coordinate on-site work and follow up with project teams to address delays and maintain workmanship standards.
- Review construction drawings alongside Bills of Quantities, flagging inconsistencies that could affect scope, materials or installation.
- Compile Bills of Materials and submit them through the approved system.
- Track monthly project expenditure and prepare valuations by the required deadlines.
- Check incoming and proposed materials against approved specifications and schedules.
- Monitor site inventory and prepare monthly stock reports.
- Assist the quantity surveying team with project estimates and cost calculations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least one year of relevant industry experience.
- Working knowledge of plumbing and firefighting systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and building services drawings.
- Practical familiarity with construction materials and equipment.
- Strong communication, organisation, teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to manage deadlines, work under pressure and operate with minimal supervision.
