Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Accountant with 3–5 years of experience to join our interior design company in Dubai. The role will support daily accounting operations, project-based financial tracking, and ensure compliance with UAE accounting and VAT regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger entries
- Prepare and issue client invoices in coordination with project and design teams
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier and subcontractor payments
- Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and supplier accounts
- Track project costs, variations, and expenses related to fit-out and design works
- Assist with monthly closing and management reporting
- Ensure proper documentation for payments, LPOs, and contracts
- Support VAT compliance, including VAT returns and record-keeping
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and internal departments as required
- Ensure adherence to company policies and UAE financial regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE
- Experience in interior design, fit-out, construction, or contracting is an advantage
- Working knowledge of UAE VAT regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
- Strong MS Excel skills / Numbers
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
