Junior Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Accountant with 3–5 years of experience to join our interior design company in Dubai. The role will support daily accounting operations, project-based financial tracking, and ensure compliance with UAE accounting and VAT regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger entries
• Prepare and issue client invoices in coordination with project and design teams
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier and subcontractor payments
• Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and supplier accounts
• Track project costs, variations, and expenses related to fit-out and design works
• Assist with monthly closing and management reporting
• Ensure proper documentation for payments, LPOs, and contracts
• Support VAT compliance, including VAT returns and record-keeping
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and internal departments as required
• Ensure adherence to company policies and UAE financial regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE
• Experience in interior design, fit-out, construction, or contracting is an advantage
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
• Strong MS Excel skills / Numbers
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
