Job Description:
Sharjah Metal Coating & Industries (SMCI), a pioneer in powder coating and surface treatment since 1976, is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual looking to grow in a well-established industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle daily data entry, invoicing, and bank transactions.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Assist in preparing journal entries, general ledger postings, and monthly closing.
- Support the finance team in UAE VAT filings and compliance.
- Follow up on customer payments and coordinate with internal departments.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Assist during internal/external audits by providing required reports.
- Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (experience in manufacturing or industrial company preferred).
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and UAE VAT regulations.
- Proficient in MS Excel; experience with Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is a plus).
