About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Accountant to join our finance team. In this critical role, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory records across our central warehouse and 38 branch locations. You will be responsible for end-to-end transaction reconciliation, final stock sign-off, and managing the full returns-to-credit cycle. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, advanced ERP and Excel proficiency, and deep knowledge of inventory accounting in a multi-branch retail or distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end inventory transaction reconciliation for central warehouse and 38 branch locations
- Execute final stock sign-off with Inventory Controller, including physical-to-GL verification
- Manage the full returns-to-credit cycle for both customer and branch returns
- Conduct branch stock reconciliation to head office ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Supply Chain Management
- 3+ years of inventory accounting experience in retail, FMCG, or distribution with multi-branch operations (5+ branches minimum)
- Advanced Excel and ERP experience (SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or Enquest [Preferred])
- Strong understanding of inventory valuation methods and provisions
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, ACCA, CIMA (or actively pursuing)
- Experience in fashion, footwear, or perfumes/cosmetics
- Experience with WMS integration, inter-branch transfers, and elimination accounting
